Make AI Automation & Workflow Administration

Build intelligent automations that do more than move data. Make AI Automation & Workflow Administration teaches you how to visually design powerful automated workflows that connect business applications, APIs, data sources, and artificial intelligence to solve real operational challenges. Through practical, hands-on scenarios, you will learn to build multi-step Make scenarios, route information based on business conditions, transform data, integrate APIs and webhooks, and incorporate AI models into workflows for tasks such as classification, summarization, content generation, information extraction, and intelligent decision support. By the end of the program, you will be able to transform repetitive business processes into scalable automated systems and confidently design AI-powered workflows for operations, customer support, sales, marketing, administration, and digital transformation projects.

Program overview

About this program

Businesses increasingly depend on multiple cloud applications to manage communication, customers, documents, projects, sales, support, and internal operations. However, many processes between these applications remain manual. Employees copy information between systems, update spreadsheets, send repetitive notifications, prepare reports, and perform routine administrative tasks that can be automated. The Make AI Automation & Workflow Administration program provides practical training in using Make's visual automation platform to design and orchestrate connected business processes. Learners will progress from understanding scenarios, modules, triggers, and actions to building sophisticated multi-application workflows capable of processing and routing information automatically. Learners will explore advanced workflow concepts including routers, filters, iterators, aggregators, variables, scheduling, error handling, data transformation, webhooks, HTTP requests, APIs, and JSON. These capabilities allow learners to move beyond basic point-to-point integrations and create workflows capable of handling complex business requirements. Artificial intelligence forms an important part of the program. Learners will integrate AI capabilities into automation scenarios to summarize information, classify requests, extract structured information from unstructured content, generate responses, analyze incoming data, and support intelligent business processes. This demonstrates how AI can operate as a component within a larger automated workflow rather than simply as a standalone chatbot. The program also introduces learners to API-driven automation. Using Make's HTTP and webhook capabilities, learners will explore how applications without convenient pre-built integrations can communicate with automated workflows. This provides an important foundation for building integrations across modern SaaS environments. Throughout the program, learners will build and troubleshoot realistic automation scenarios while learning how to inspect execution history, diagnose failed modules, manage application connections, handle incomplete or unexpected data, control workflow execution, and design appropriate error-handling strategies. By completion, learners will be capable of analyzing an existing manual process, mapping its automation requirements, designing the appropriate Make scenario, integrating applications and AI services, testing the workflow, deploying it, and maintaining it in a production environment.
