Program overview

About this program

The Microsoft Power Automate: Business Process Automation programme is a practical, hands-on 3-week training designed to teach participants how to automate everyday business processes using Microsoft Power Automate. Participants will learn how to design and configure automated cloud flows within Microsoft 365, starting with simple workplace automation and progressing to more advanced, multi-step business processes. Throughout the programme, students will build workflows around real-world scenarios such as automatically sending and responding to emails, processing information from Microsoft Forms, working with files and documents in SharePoint and OneDrive, sending notifications, requesting approvals, and connecting different Microsoft 365 services. The programme will also introduce students to Power Automate connectors, enabling workflows to communicate with Microsoft and third-party applications. Participants will learn how to extend Power Automate beyond built-in integrations by working with REST APIs and HTTP requests, allowing external applications and services to participate in automated business processes. As students progress, they will build more sophisticated workflows incorporating conditions, branching logic, loops, approvals, user input, variables, expressions, and multiple actions. They will also learn how to monitor flow execution, identify failures, troubleshoot common issues, and improve the reliability of their automations. By the end of the programme, participants should be able to identify repetitive business processes and independently design Power Automate solutions that reduce manual work, improve consistency, and connect systems across the modern workplace.
